<< Tell me WHY does IOD still use http://webtld.com instead of http://nic.web or http://webtld.web ?   >

Because the .web extension is not yet available online. Did you really have to ask a question which has an obvious answer?

<< Tell me WHY does IOD still take pre-registrations if IANA already gave them rights to be an actual registrat? >>>

IANA gave them the right to sell .webs in anticipation of the approval--so long as IOD advised its registrants that if NOT approved, their .webs would be invalid.

< There is no point of any registrar to keep taking pre-registrations if they are already a bona-fide registrar. Got me ?  >

You don't know what you are talking about, with all due respect. The POINT of opening the databases to real, live, registrations was so that the databases could move past its beta mode and be FULLY capable of the onslaught of registrations once approved and up and running in an official capacity. The had to prove the databases were operational, efficient, and had minimal errors. Get ME?! THAT is why they took registrations prior to approval. They had to EARN that approval, which I think they did, because I have never seen or heard of their databases hiccuping. Read up on your history regarding this issue.

< And oh, yeah, if they are actually a bona-fide registrar, tell me WHY isn't IOD on the ICANN accredited registrar list ? >>

Um. . . AS I SAID: they are PENDING approval as the REGISTRY for .web,
and don't seek being a REGISTRAR. Are you aware of the difference
between a registry and a registrar?

<<<<<  BTW, you should be aware that only ICANN Accredited registrars
are allowed to register domain names under .com, .net, .org, and any future gTLD. >>>>>>>

Once IOD is approved as the REGISTRY, they will be selling .web at large. Actually, Christopher Ambler has stated that he is more interested in having IOD serve as registry, and is not so concerned with registrar status.

Were you aware that NSI took registrations of .com before THEY were
officially approved. Likewise, THEIR registrants were grandfathered in.

<<< So, what can we see ? IOD is conning the consumer to part with his
money... >>>>

Do you REALLY think they would have gotten this far, and would be involvedin ICANN meetings as they are (and hosting one of the ICANN functions in Japan in July) if they were con artists?! They have been in the center of discussions with ICANN, and are NOT deemed by ICANN to be con-artists.

You again, are way out of line. THIS time with libel.

Be educated. Then open your mouth.
