As for your comment about
com-net –org---there are meanings to those TLD’s. For new TLD’s that refers to a
business then all .com owners should have a first right to those new business TLD’s.
For a new organization TLD’s then all .org customers would have a first right to
those new TLD’s……We recommend that ICANN give a short period of time for all current
owners of dot com names to register their current .com names with the new TLD's that
are business related. After this short period of time period, everyone would be able
to register any names that are available. YES--there will be plenty of available
names! We are concerned for the small business owner that invested their life savings
in the marketing of their domain name. They can’t afford to hire lawyers to file
Trademarks—The only way to protect them is by giving them a window of time to resister
the new TLD’s that match exactly their current domain name.
