Jack: There is no reason why anyone owning a .com name should get preference in a new gtld. If so, the corresponding .net and .org owner would have a valid claim against it, because he did not get the same chance as the .com owner. It is all about opening up the market, not about giving a second domain name to .com owners in a new to come gtld. Regards, Friedrich
