As of November 2000, the number of Internet users outside the US has surpassed that of US users.  Most of us in the US, whether we are researching topics for family or whether we are in the life sciences business, rely on the integrity of certain .com sites (Merck Online, InteliHealth) as well as the NIH site (.gov) for accurate information about drugs, clinical trials and diseases.  By incorporating a .health strategy under the umbrella of WHO, the same integrity would be extended and offered outside the US.  If a .health strategy is not endorsed by ICANN, I strongly support a WHO-backed and managed .org site with the similar information.  The need is to offer and preserve the integrity of information that can affect millions of lives.  If a well-marketed .org achieves this, fine.  If a TLD accomplishes this, better.
