Central role? NSI owns 5.25% of Afilias and has the same amount of voting power as
the other 18 members. Where do you get the false impression that NSI = Afilias? You
are right about one thing though. NSI has crappy customer service. That's why I elect
not to do business with them. I register all my domains through Tucows, another member
of Afilias. I get quick, thorough customer support through them. If Afilias is
selected to run a registry, you'll be able to do the same, and that's why I support
Afilias. On Day 1, you'll be able to select from at least 19 different registrars.
Don't like NSI? Don't register through them. I sure as hell won't. But that's what's
nice about Afilias - you'll have choice from Day 1.
