i did similar research and it became apparent that IOD was not a scam run by teenage hackers however the articles did specifically state that IOD .web preregistrations were not by any means official and that there was no guarantee that they would ever be good. i decided to risk my $35 just in case but by no means did i ever think that it was a sure bet. in this sense i believe that bigtymer and bmitchell have a valid point.
