<< I guess I understand why you would want the "big boys" to have participated more
in this forum, but it's totally understandable why they didn't. When you have a company
with 10s of 1000s of employees it can take awhile to come to a consensus and official
position for the company. >>> Corporate self-interest is not the interest of the
given corporation's employees. AT&T has thousands upon thousands of employees.
Do you REALLY think they waited for statements from all of them? If they did this,
they would be spending years to come up with a document that illustrated all the
varied (and conflicting) viewpoints represented in the full body. No, the comments
came directly from the upper offices, in tandem with their legal officers. Call
an AT&T operator, and ask them if they were consulted.
