2-country support? |

What is the purpose of the requirement that "Candidates
seeking to self-nominate should be supported by At Large Members from more than one
country"? I don't immediately see a big problem with this, but I also don't
see any meaningful reason for it. The application of this rule in the North
American region means that a candidate would be required to have support from all
countries in the region both of which have very large numbers of participants in
the Internet community. In other regions, this would simply mean obtaining
support from two of many countries, some of which have very few participants.
An argument could probably be made that either scenario could create a problem, so
unless there is a good value gained, why require it?
