As a law student about to enter the legal field in a short time, I think that dotLaw is a good idea because I know where legal research is heading--that is, legal research is almost entirely on-line these days.  Nobody uses books anymore.  For that reason, I would like to see a domain name for the legal field as it would facilitate research. Often, when other legal databases are fruitless, I search on the web, which inevitably takes a great deal of time because my searches yield irrelevant results.  A domain name for the legal field, I feel,
would help a legal researcher search more effectively and efficiently. Legal researchers don't research for free.  Costs are often born by the client.  To minimize costs to the client, more effective searches are needed.  The best way I can think of doing that is to create a new domain name for the legal field.
