You Are Missing The Point |

emc2 is missing the point I
made in endorsing the .shop idea. While I realize that amazon.com will also
register a .shop name, what you don't seem to see is that there are a vast number
of sites that offer MORE thanjust a place to buy somehting. If these sites,
such as "nbc.com" or others which offer content and things to sell, register a .shop,
and move all of the things to buy to that site, it will create a better way of finding
what you want. In addition, not all of the 55% that you refer to have goods
or services to sell, and therefore they will not all be taking names in the .shop
space. In fact, I heard recently that only about 5% of the sites on the web
are used for e-commerce. This will hopefully grow with a TLD like .shop or
the others this company proposed like .svc or .mall.
