Subject: Support of dot union proposal

        I am a trade union researcher and former trade union activist with a national union web site in Norway. My view is that the internet gives unions a way to communicate between themselves and with their members, and thus make the union movement both better, stronger and more democratic. Building a network without having to have much money.

Approving the dot union proposal will be an important and strategic step towards creating that network.  The Internet is one of the only ways that low-income and other working people can have their voices heard and build support for their struggles. 

I urge the ICANN Board to approve this proposal.
