.i proposal from sarnoff |

The scope of the internet is growing exponentially, and new strategies are necessary
in order to try to keep pace. A tld for individuals is a great idea, since
only corporations and organizations have so far been served by the DNS.
Individuals were limited and yet play a tremendous role in the growth of internet
applications. Individuals had to really borrow from them if they wanted a presence
on the web, which hampers the growth potential. The .i proposal seems to rectify
that situation. This will lead to a quantum jump in productivity and usefulness
of internet for internet users, no doubt about that. And with free numeric
domain names, even those who are sceptical will have a reason to have a web presence.
All of that will bode well for the overall internet health and growth. I support
this proposal. Hope ICANN will do the same. John Cienski Director of Business
Affairs Suffolk County Community College
