Great Concept! |

In my opinion, this is a great concept whose time has come. Gone are the host-name
sitting days. On to something for individuals and the little guys.In general,
DNS based Digital ID is a good idea. Enhancement to the IP addressing to make
it people-centric and to provide functionalities that are absolutely essential
in today's world are great concepts. Aggregation techniques to power the domain
names is uniquely positioned to grab the attention of the people. Sarnoff Corporation
has thought out this proposal with common people in mind, it is very obvious.
With the involvement of AtomicTangerine, security issues will receive the best attention
that will further encourage people to use this tld for their personal domain names. Overall
this proposal is good for businesses (small and even large!) in addition to individuals. I've
seen a few other proposals pending in front of ICANN as well. For a lasting,
non-controversial, people-centric structured development of internet, this ".i" proposal
from Sarnoff gets the most points in my book. Phillip G. Bradford Visiting
Associate Professor, Rutgers University, New Jersey.
