I have familiarized myself with the .Kids Domains Inc. application and whole-heartedly endorse their concept.  Their concept of controlled content is the only solution we would feel safe with letting our kids roam freely without our supervision and encouraging them to explore the internet on their own.  The Internet will be a huge part of their everyday life, and .kids will give them the appropriate platform to start the journey and their minds will be enriched with positive input.  We agree that we need to avoid the pitfalls discussed in the post by rgiusta. Hats off to .Kids Domains, and please grant their application or none of them.  Unrestricted .kids would be worse than the status quo.
