I've read several of the postings. It seems the only reason to restrict children from such a well-conceived opportunity is that it somehow would inhibit the freedom of people to not dial up a .kids site. Or that somehow the group of people who've put together the proposal are untrustworthy. I can't speak to the second, but can certainly speak to the first. I want to roam freely on the Internet, and I want someone to create a place or group of places are safe for kids. I support Mr. Howe's public comments and wish to hear more.

I'm a non high-tech mom whose kids are on the computer a lot. I heard Mr. Howe on news radio and think he's on the right track.
