The National Cooperative Business Association's (NCBA) proposal for .co-op/.coop was submitted with full support of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA)and provides equal treatment for both U.S. cooperatives and cooperatives in other countries.

During the first six months, cooperative members of BOTH NCBA and ICA would be automatically eligible for registration within the new .co-op/.coop domain.  That is because NCBA/ICA have already determined that these cooperatives meet the 7 ICA cooperative principles -- the .co-op eligibility criteria.  This means that both U.S. cooperatives as well as co-ops in other countries could register during the first six months.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.
