        Dear Marshm,

There is a bit of misunderstanding.

If you have first use of the TLD or have trademark rights, then you should be the one who should be approved. The ICANN does not recognize prior use or prior idea. What is somebody came along after you and got .cash, even thoough you have have a trademark (pending or otherwise). Is this fair?

With the ICANN process, this does not seem to consider prior intellectual property rights. Take for example, the .biz, how many applicants are there? Many right? Now, somebody will be left out, and a monopoly may be grant to 1 party.

It would be more fair, since applicants deposited $ 50,000, to have the new TLD available to many parites, not just one.
