    The U.S. Overseas Cooperative Development Council (OCDC) fully supports the dot.co-op initiative. Our 8 cooperative members are working in sixty different countries operating on 155 million dollars and levaraging an additional 296 million dollars. The cooperative development organizations are offering training and assistance in agriculture, business, community development, civil society, disaster and recontructrion, energy, finance, telecommunication, public policy and advocatiy, housing, and electricity. In 1999, over 100,000 Americans were reached through our members' publications and public education efforts. Furthermore, our members assisted 8,8000 cooperatives that year. The cooperative community would truly benefit from the establishment of a co-op  top-level domain. Thank you!
