  I am a member of many cooperatives and grew up in a cooperative community. I also research cooperative economic development strategies. As a co-operator and a researcher I know that it is critical that cooperative businesses have an opportunity to identify themselves and be readily identified.  Much of the reserch shows that people trust co-ops more, and that this trustworthyness is essential to the prosperity of co-ops. On the web and the internet it is imperative that consumers be able to quickly and easily identify cooperatives. What better way than to have the .co-op TLD to allow businesses to so identify themselves. 
    I am satisfied that the mechanism to assure authenticity are in place and that we should move forward with the approbal of the .co-op TLD.
