Why, for such a relatively small sum of money, should an organization controlled by the airline segment of the vast "travel" industry be granted so much potential power over the balance of people and companies in the rest of the "travel" industry?

Does a reasonable person today look at the airline industry as full of integrity and fair play?  I don't think being "not for profit" and successful at a travel agent ID program are sufficient reasons to qualify them.

I've become convinced that "confuse, control, conquer" is the theme song played by most airlines today and this move is certainly in line with that theme.

Please give this whole process more time and more thought - to approve IATA's application would be wrong.
