“WITHOUT PREJUDICE”

Dear Sirs,

RE: IATA TOP LEVEL DOMAIN - . TRAVEL

I must vigorously protest the proposed request by IATA to manage and control a new Top Level Domain (TLD) “.travel”.  IATA has regrettably a history of imposing inflexible domineering and unreasonable standards with regards to many aspects to the relationship between airlines and travel agencies and tour operators, to be allowed to control a “TLD” of such importance.

The control and access of information that IATA, its member airlines and sister organizations such as ARC (BSP in Canada) have is already “non competitive” and to give IATA even further ammunition to deepen its control of travel agents, is invidious.

The TLD “.travel” is much too wide a potential scope for usage to be controlled by anyone single organization, let alone ACTA.  I thank you for the consideration given to these comments.

Yours truly,
