Subject: make it a global discussion before acting

Personaly I don't agree with IATA running the .travel tld, for much the same reasons most of my colleguaes in the travel agency community have allready expressed yet I would suggest...

Any descision in this matter to be put on hold untill a proper global discussion has been held based on a serious discussion forum within the travel industry, clearly indicating the consequences of a measure like this for all industry sectors. I am pretty sure the majority of the travel industry is not yet aware of the current action. Todays discussion is held between mainly US travel advisors, airlines and 1 rail company.

This can in all objectivity not be called an industry-wide discussion.  I can not see the urgency to push the descision in a time frame of a few weeks. The kick off could be at World Travel market to be held in London in November. Here's where the whole industry will meet. Why not put up a poll on-line.  What happened to democracy?
