IATA's application for TLD of .travel should be rejected.  IATA, an association of airlines represents only one segment of the vast travel/tourism industry throughout the world. 

Should .travel become a TDL, an association of several hundred should not have control over its use that could be applied to literally tens, if not hundreds of thousands of entities engaged in the travel/tourism industry throughout the world!

IATA's wholly owned subsidiary, IATAN and other airline controlled organizations have demonstrated their willingness to control and even engage in abusive activity directed at travel agents/agencies.

The travel/tourism industry would best be served by a neutral 3rd party having control over the TLD of .travel.
