Subject: Comment on IATA ". travel"Application

Aviation and Tourism International, based in London, is a consulting firm active in the travel and Transport industry world-wide.

I fully support the IATA proposal for a 'travel' TLD.

There is clear evidence of reluctance of many consumers to make travel
Purchases over the web because they are uncertain about the reliability and integrity
of '.com ' website operators.  This reluctance has inhibited the development of
e-commerce business for the travel industry.

There is a clear need for a neutral organization to screen the website
operators who are offering travel services so that consumers can feel confident about
their integrity..

IATA is ideally placed to perform this function because of its long record
of setting standards and accrediting travel businesses.

I therefore hope that ICANN will grant the IATA application for '.travel'
because it will greatly facilitate the development of e-commerce in travel.
