Subject: IATA should not control new .travel TLD

I would like to register my protest to IATA's application to manage the new .travel TLD.  IATA only represents a small segment of the overall travel market and is not inclusive enough to warrant domination of the .travel TLD.  As a representative of the airlines, IATA has not demonstrated impartiality in dealing with the multitude of travel sellers, and therefore cannot instill confidence in the hundreds of thousands of travel agents would conduct 80% of all travel sales.  A far better choice to manage and control the new .travel TLD would be ASTA, the American Society of Travel Agents.  Though it's title suggests it is an American orgaznization, other countries are well represented in its membership and it's meetings are held around to world.  More importantly, it's membership includes airlines, cruise lines, tour companies andtravel agents.
