As the owner of an independent travel agency I am completely and adamantly opposed to IATA having anything to do with the TLD of dot-travel.  If IATA wants to administer something let them take control of dot-airline which is their rightful baliwick. Then they can charge their buddies the airlines some unconsinable fee for the domain regristration.  If these jerks are allowed to administer dot-travel we travel agents and agencies will again be at the mercy of the airlines.  IATA is nothng but a front for the airlines and has proven themselves either incapable or unwilling to regulate the administration of the mostly useless IATA card-that is unless you consider them charging us for the "privelege" of having the card useful.  If an entity has the bucks and slides some under the table to IATA they will get what they want.  That, or if their owners, the airlines want it to happen.  These guys are about as trustworthy as the tobacco companies.
