Subject: More About Global Commitment ...

If ICANN is truly determined to achieve "Global Commitment", then current registrations with IOD must stand validated.

Please do not take these registrations away from those people outside the USA, who were effectively omitted from the process previously, due to geography.  Some of those people would undoubtedly lose their prized .WEB addresses to those of us with faster modems, DSL, Cable, and T1 capabilities.  This would not be fair.

IOD registrations (or pre-registrations) or whatever you call them, have had the same affect as Affirmative Action.   The playing field has been leveled (to a great degree), by virtue of IOD selling registrations for the last 4 or 5 years.

This is my esteemed opinion.

Sincerely,

Mark Lawrence
