Just out of curiosity, what do you consider a "serious group?"

I've been in the IT/web biz for over eight years now, having worked for companies such as AOL, DB Basics, Columbia and currently, Corning (the fiber people). I own and maintain a slew of .com's outside of work and have registered 30 or so .web's.

.Web is by far one of the most obvious new choices for the web. IOD has demonstrated time and again that they have developed a stable and substainable service, and have never mislead their customers. Using this board as evidence, you'll see that at least IOD is approachable and they have as much passion for this issue as anyone. They didn't go out and apply for over 50% of the new gTLD's -- they applied for one.

I think it's obvious that you're exactly what you say; bad for your own argument.
