Subject: Do you know what "Cybersquatting" IS?

<< Im concerned with this current situation of preregistration. It looks like so many companies have cyber squatted like crazy, I dont think these current preregistrations should be allowed to go through. >>>

Again, we have the loose and irresponsible use of the word, "cybersquatting."

It is not cybersquatting to register a handful--or even multiple--domains for the purpose of developing. It is called....."REGISTERING."

It sickens me to see self-righteous, often jealous people, throwing that word around.

There ARE cybersquatters, sure. But a person is not a squatter simply because he registered a strong domain. Nor is he a squatter simply because he bought a number of strong domains.

Cybersquatting, sir, is the registration of famous (and pershaps NOT SO FAMOUS) trademarks for the purpose of selling it to the trademark holder.

That's it.
