Subject: A Recommendation to Posters, A Call to ICANN

If I may be so bold:

There is a lot of sound and fury on this messageboard--which
indicates the inherent emotion connected to the Image Online
Design/Afilias conflict; however, very few posts offer much
in the way of substance. That goes for both sides.

Everyone needs to compose their thoughts and words carefully, and
make sure you have made the best case for their side before clicking
the "SUBMIT" button.

As for me. . .

I am pro-IOD.
I am a registrant.
I am NOT a domain speculator.
I seek to develop both commercial and non-commercial sites.
I believe that .web should be the TLD for the People of the World.

. . . The People. Fathom that.
The world was made up of them long before it made up of corporations.

I think corporations should be allowed on .web. Of course.
But don't reinforce their desire to subvert, through bullying
tactics, the efforts and the interests of the People.

I think that significant protection should be granted to all domain-
holders; but christen the .web as the TLD of the people, giving
domain-holders INHERENT rights on the .web. Just as you designate
.com as the TLD for commerce, designate .web as the TLD for the
network of people out there--which is the fundamental concept
behind the term, "The Worldwide Web."

Now is your chance, ICANN.
Illustrate to the world that you are not moved solely by corporate

. . . Grant the .web TLD to Image Online Design.
. . . Devote the .web TLD to the People.

ICANN: Be an agency for the People as well as an agency devoted to corporate interests.

Bring IOD's .web into the Internet root, and allow .web to become the TLD of the People.

Then grant us protection.
