Man, I am totally for capitalism and deplore communism. I was
talking about this topic just today as regard to the presidential
election coming up.

And as a capitalist, I believe that companies such as IOD, and
registrants such as myself and the ones I have come to know these
past several months, should be given their chance. Not because we
subverted the process, but because we were a part of it. There
is the matter if IANA's authorization; yet beyond that, IOD has
not worked in a vacuum. They have been there, as members of ICANN
committees, as a sponsor to ICANN's most recent conference, etc..
If ICANN had a problem with IOD's registrants, they had 5 years
in which to ask IOD to cease taking them; they had 5 years to
distance themselves from IOD; 5 years to take IOD to task,
publicly and legally for their registrations.

This has not happened.

But more on the matter of your espousal of capitalism: Like you,
as a capitalist, I don't believe in a redistribution of
wealth; yet this is what you are advocating when you talk about
taking the .webs from the current holders. This is what you are
espousing when you talk about curtailing Marc Britain's numbers.

As a capitalist, I think you can understand the concept of, "I got
there first."

You use the principles of capitalism to promote the arguments that
suit you; and ignore the ones that fly in the face of your personal
immediate interest.

As one capitalist talking to another capitalist, let me say regarding the .webs:

"I got there before you, sir."

That is capitalism.

ICANN: Be an agency for the People as well as an agency devoted to corporate interests.

Bring IOD's .web into the Internet root, and allow .web to become the TLD of the People.

Then grant us protection.
