I wonder what will happen next time ICANN expands TLDs. If .kids isn't chosen,
for example, would those who applied this year have any advantage next time.
I would like to think so. If you don't agree because several apps for .kids
appear this year, what about those applications with unique TLDs. I would like to
think that there is some reward for taking such risks. For now it will be risking
$50,000. For IOD it was various other headaches and expenses that they took
beginning 1995/1996. It's not hard to imagine many equally qualified registry
applications the next time. What will set them apart from each other aside
from inside connections?
