If first1 asked ICANN about IOD registrations 6 months
ago, and ICANN neglected to warn him, as the DNSO is warning us now, then ICANN should
explain why a warning was not generated prior to Sept. 29.If ICANN and the DNSO
were concerned about IOD registrations, or pre-registrations (or whatever you want
to call them), they could have posted a warning sooner.
Therefore, if this
decision making process is "fair", and "transparent", then ICANN certainly must recognize
IOD's domain name sales as valid registrations. I'm confident ICANN recognizes
this, but they are bound not to talk about it until November.
I'm not saying IOD
supporters should stop commenting on the applications, just that we should probably
stop hammering ICANN. They now know our concerns, I'm sure. Any adjunct
activities such as "grassroots efforts", congressional hearings, etc., should probably
be handled outside of this forum.
