Subject: Don't be too hasty - use established registrars

Rather than a global free-for-all wouldn't it be a far more reliable solution to use existing ICANN registrars with a proven track record to host a sensible set of extra extensions e.g.:

.shop
.music
.art
.bus
.food
.drink
etc...

Existing registrars all over the world would then each have access to register these new names alongside the existing .com, .net and .org.

Perhaps I've missed something but to allow any one profit-making company to have a single monopoly on the new TLDs will prove a dangerous policy. The existing system allowing competition between registrars makes prices lower for everyone.

Just my humble opinion.
