Members of ICANN

- ICANN must investigate and address the incestuous nature of many of the applications.

- ICANN must investigate and address the incestuous nature of specific board members serving on supporting organizations to ICANN (requesting and reviewing applications) as well as on the board of Applicants (submitting applications). This is wrong.

- ICANN must carefully consider what insider knowledge and privileges those board members per privy to and what advantages this introduced into the process

- ICANN should strongly consider the seemingly unanimous anti-ICANN views of currently elected ICANN board members who call for drastic changes in ICANN’s procedures as a message of the will and the needs of the Internet community.  We elected them.

- ICANN must represent the better interest of the indivicual and not corporations.

- ICANN must be transparent.

- ICANN must use bottom-up processes.

- Intellectual property rights should not be privileged over other rights.

- ICANN should strive at all times to minimize or avoid policy-making on non-technical topics.

- The domain name space is a globally-shared public good with public and private functions.

- Artificial scarcity in domain names and centralization in DNS administration should be avoided.

- ICANN should respect privacy.

- Costs should be minimal and equitable.
