Subject: I believe that IODesign registrations would be considered 100% valid by a Court

I read your post and I found it interesting and valid.

However, I think that what happened since 1996 would make
any Court to accept both IOD's registry and its registrations
taken so far.

Anyway, if ICANN states that IOD's registrations must be wiped out,
I appreciate your solution #2 : IOD early registrants should get credits from IOD to register other .web domains .

However, here is another problem: what about the initial rush to register "good" domain names?
There is the risk that it will be a *random* rush.
Please notice that this may be an advantage for me, because
I might register better names. For example I wanted to register
"science.web" but it was not available in IOD's registry.
I might find it available if early registrations are wiped out
and if I am lucky in the initial fight :-)

However, I think it is better to assign these domains to people
who did register them since 1996 in good faith.
This is fairness (IMHO).
In any case, I appreciate your efforts to find a good solution.

Finally: we are in the hands of ICANN.
I am confident that ICANN's solution will be fair.
