By that very statement, you make your position clear. You want the generic domain name market to remain status quo, where NSI holds the dominant position with .com (and .net and .org), and a number of country code registries do their best to market their 2-letter domains as generics.

Your anonymous position of "Say No To IOD" now makes perfect sense. Thankfully, your credibility is rather lacking due to the transparency of your motives. I expect you'll deny this, of course.
