And again, no mention of any retraction of the directive to go ahead and collect fees. Since you're having a good time digging up old posts, how about this one, 2 months after Bill told us to go operational.

I was participating in the IANA function wrt IPv6 deployment issues.
The meeting was at ISI in one of the conference rooms. We were talking
about how to progress the Postel draft. As I have mentioned numerous
times on this and prior lists, I speak for me unless explictly
stated otherwise.  I do not think the advice was unsound.  I will
admit to second thoughts about the way in which things have progressed
but such is life.  I'm learning....

Both Bill and Jon later acknowledged that this was done on behalf of IANA. Note that the closest Bill has ever come to denying it is above, is where he says that he has "second thoughts" about the way in which things have progressed. Note that the IAHC process was beginnging at that time.

Yet he still claimed that his advice was sound.

This should put this issue firmly to rest. Will your attempt at a smear campaign continue?
